Dr. Hoerl's research has been published in international, national, and regional communication journals including The Quarterly Journal of Speech; Communication, Culture, and Critique; Critical Studies in Media Communication; Communication and Critical/Cultural Studies; Argumentation and Advocacy, The Communication Review; Communication Studies; Western Journal of Communication; and Southern Communication Journal.

Personal Hobbies
Playing with her dog, watching films with her spouse, and the occasional attempt to grow flowers and bake pastries.
